About Me

Erin Palchak is a UX Designer living in the San Luis Obispo, CA area. She believes that with empathy, testing, and creative problem solving better products can be crafted for people. A constant learner, her love of making things led her to a BA in Art from the University of California Santa Cruz and a UI/UX Design Certificate with Springboard.
She has had a multifaceted work-life but her passion for building and creating has been constant throughout her roles. Erin’s ability to listen and keen observational skills have enabled her to excel in the UX space. In a recent project, she caught a workflow problem that would otherwise have been overlooked, quickly designing and proposing a solution overnight.
Erin has spent decades crafting beautiful and functional objects, from chicken coops to sweaters and everything in between. She has also excelled in the performing arts: marching with a world-class drum and bugle corps, playing solos at Carnegie Hall with her college wind ensemble, and dancing in a full-length ballet.
When not designing Erin enjoys game nights with friends, re-reading Tolkien’s books, amateur birding, and rescuing snails from the sidewalk on rainy days.
